# Request deletion of personal data

Under the GDPR, you have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. This is also known as the right to erasure or the right to be forgotten.

## Send the request

E-mail your request to [support@maptiler.com](mailto:support@maptiler.com). Include:

-   Your full name and the e-mail address of your MapTiler account, or other details that help us identify you
-   Which personal data you want us to delete

Before we delete anything, we’ll ask you to verify your identity to make sure the request really comes from you.

## What happens next

We respond within one month of receiving your request, and then delete your personal data from our systems.

The only exception is data we’re required by law to keep, for example for accounting and tax purposes, such as invoices. If some of your data can’t be deleted, we’ll tell you why.
