# Developer resources

Building a map application for your website is possible with a number of JavaScript libraries and frameworks. For the most popular ones, we’ve prepared [customized code examples](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/guides/maps-apis/maps-platform/use-maps-interactively-with-javascript/) in your MapTiler account, so you can get started simply by copying the code. Prefer to have an AI coding assistant write it for you? See [how to use MapTiler with AI](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/guides/developer/ai/how-to-use-with-ai/). Or check out the resources below.

## MapTiler SDK JS

[MapTiler SDK JS](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/) is a JavaScript/TypeScript map library and a toolkit for building web map applications. It provides all the key functionalities in an easy-to-use package, so it’s the most comfortable option to integrate our maps.

### Modules

MapTiler SDK JS is extensible with several [modules](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/), which you can install on top of the SDK and use them to implement additional map functions:

- [Geocoding control](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/geocoding) to add a search box to your map
- [Elevation profile control](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/elevation-profile) to add an elevation graph
- [Marker layout](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/marker-layout) to add marker overlays with rich content
- [3D objects](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/3d) to add 3D models to your map
- [Augmented reality (AR) control](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/ar) to add a button turning the map into a 3D model
- [**Weather SDK**](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/sdk-js/modules/weather) to build maps with weather animation

## Other map libraries

- [Leaflet](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/leaflet/) – a lightweight open-source library to build pretty apps quickly
- [OpenLayers](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/openlayers/) – a robust open-source library to build complex apps
- [Deck.gl](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/deck-gl/) – a powerful framework for visualization of large data
- [Cesium](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/cesium/) – a popular library to build 3D maps, offering also plugins for **game engines**: [Unreal](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/unreal/) • [Unity](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/unity/)

## Mobile apps

If you’re specifically looking to build map applications for mobile platforms, you’ll find everything related to that under [Mobile SDKs](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/guides/developer/mobile/).

## APIs

- [Public APIs](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/cloud/api/reference/) for end-user applications (read-only access)
- [Service APIs](https://docs-qmgv.pages.dev/cloud/admin-api/) for MapTiler account administration (full access)
