This page lists supported file formats that you can upload to your MapTiler account for hosting and further use. Some formats require processing (tiling) at upload, depending on their type:
- Raster files – files like drone photos, old maps, or charts. Georeferenced files are automatically processed into a raster tileset, ready for map use. If your image isn’t georeferenced, you can do it in our Georeferencer.
- Vector files – geographical vector data from surveys, GPS logs, and government data. You can import your file as-is and further edit it in our Vector Data Editor, or you can process it into a vector tileset.
- Tilesets – containers of map tiles generated by another tool. Read-only, no editing. We recommend using clean tilesets produced by MapTiler Engine.
